Privacy Policy

This page explains what Pixify Studio knows about you, why, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. Allcaps ApS, a Danish company (CVR 42723576, Allegade 14, st. th., 2000 Frederiksberg, Denmark), is responsible for your data (the "data controller" in the words of the GDPR). Write to [email protected] with any question.

What we hold, and why

Your account and your team. Your name and email address, the team you belong to, your role in it, and the people you invite. We also keep basic details of each sign-in, such as the time, the network and the browser, so that you can see and sign out your devices in Settings, and a record of important activity on your account, such as sign-ins and purchases, to keep it safe.

Your files. The photos and clips you upload, the preview copies Studio makes of them, and the titles, descriptions and keywords Studio writes, together with your corrections. Studio learns your preferences from those corrections; what it learns is used for your team alone, never for anyone else.

Payments. Stripe handles every payment, and Studio never sees your card number. We keep your invoices and credit history as the bookkeeping law requires. To prevent misuse of the free credits we keep a limited record of the card you use, never the full number, and that record stays, without your name or email, after you delete your account.

How Studio is used. If you accept analytics (see the Cookies page), PostHog tells us which pages and features are used, under your account number and never with your name or email. PostHog may also record screen sessions of some visitors, never of paying customers. Separately, Studio keeps its own usage statistics, without your name or email, so that we can run and improve the service. Studio also keeps a record of what you do in it: the pages you open and the actions you take, such as uploading, confirming, editing and exporting, with the time. It holds no words you write and no file names. We use it to help you when something goes wrong and to improve Studio. Like any website, our servers also log the network address of each visit.

Keeping Studio working. New Relic watches our servers for us: how long each page takes to answer, and the details of any error, so that we can fix it. It does not receive your files or your sign-in details.

Support. What you write to us, and, when you report a problem, the page you were on and your browser, so that we can see what you saw.

The free tool on pixify.io. The files you drop there are deleted within a day. If you ask for the result by email, or to continue in Studio, we keep your email address and the batch for seven days so that the link works, and delete both if it is not used. To stop abuse of the free tool, it keeps a random security identifier in your browser, set without asking for consent because it is needed for that alone; we use it for nothing else and forget it after 90 days at the latest.

Why we may use it

  • To provide the service you signed up for (our contract with you): your account, your team, your files and your payments.
  • Because the law requires it: invoices and payment records.
  • In our legitimate interest in keeping Studio secure, running and free of abuse: the sign-in and activity records, the record of what you do in Studio, the card record, our own usage statistics, the servers' logs and New Relic's watch on our servers.
  • With your consent, which you can withdraw at any time: analytics.

Who helps us

Studio runs on servers in the European Union, and your files are stored there. A small number of service providers help us run it. They work only on our behalf, under contract, and may use your data only for that work:

Service What for Where
Hosting The servers Studio runs on and stores files on EU
Network and security Delivering Studio quickly and keeping it safe EU and worldwide
Artificial intelligence Reading a smaller copy of each file and writing its keywords. Under the business terms we use, they do not train their models on your files. United States
Stripe Payments, invoices and the stored card EU and United States
PostHog Analytics and screen recordings, only if you accept them EU
New Relic Watching that Studio works: page speed and errors EU and United States
Email Sending our emails, such as your sign-in link United States

Write to [email protected] and we will tell you which companies these are.

Where a provider processes data outside the EU, the transfer rests on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses or the EU-US Data Privacy Framework.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it with anyone else unless the law obliges us to.

How long

  • Your account, your team and your files: as long as your account exists. You can delete batches at any time, and your whole account from Settings.
  • The record of activity on your account: as long as your account exists.
  • The record of what you do in Studio: as long as your account exists.
  • Invoices, payments and the credit history: five years, as the Danish bookkeeping law requires, even after the account is deleted, without your name or email.
  • The card record: as long as we need it to prevent misuse of the free credits.
  • The servers' logs: about a month.
  • Analytics: one year. Screen recordings: at most three months.

Your rights

You have the right to see the data we hold about you, to take a copy with you, to have it corrected or deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to withdraw your consent to analytics at any time. Most of this you can do yourself in Settings:

  • Export my data gives you a copy of your account, your team, your batches with their titles, descriptions and keywords, and your credit history.
  • Delete my account removes your account, your files and your personal data. Only what the bookkeeping law makes us keep stays, without your name or email.
  • Cookies lets you change your answer about analytics.

For anything else, write to [email protected]. You can also complain to the Danish Data Protection Agency (Datatilsynet, datatilsynet.dk).

Children

Studio is not for anyone under 16.
